b'LIONHEARTPROGRAM UPDATEAs previously reported, Lionheart emerged as the J Class World Champion here in Newport. After a three-year hiatus cruising the Mediterranean Lionheart will be back on the racetrack in 2020 participating in two events in the Caribbean. From there, she will sail through the Panama Canal with stops in the Galapagos, Tahiti, Fiji, and finally New Zealand.Five J Class Yachts have signed up for two Regattas in New Zealand in conjunction with the Americas Cup in March of 2021.Racing will no doubt be very exciting and competitive with most yachts retaining their core race teams from the Worlds. In preparation for her upcoming race schedule Lionheart will undergo a refit from October 2019 until January 2020 in the Netherlands.
